BP Shows Their Commitment to Clean-up with Wildlife Logo Lapel Pin

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill’s effects on the environment have been the center of media attention and the talk of wildlife conservationists all over the country.  The oil spill which caused extensive damage to marine and wildlife habitats has been reported as the largest in the petroleum industry. BP is not only commissioning the cleaning of the Louisiana waters but has also joined forces with marine and wildlife specialists to operate a recovery and rehabilitation program for the many animals affected by the spill. Sea turtles, baby pelicans, and blue crabs are examples of the inhabitants that the spill left covered in thick oil, critically injured and without a home.  To reflect their dedication to the relief effort, BP partnered with lapel pin maker All About Pins to create employee lapel pins for their environmental cleaning unit. The MC252 Incident Environmental Unit’s main responsibility to test for left over oil at different depths of water is a crucial first step in the clean-up and wildlife rescue process. All About Pins helped to emphasize this in the lapel pin design.  The unit’s custom lapel pin not only announces the nature of their work but also has the potential to double as an awareness lapel pin. Unique Features of the MC252 Environmental Unit Lapel Pin Here are some of the features that we offer on this pin:

  • A full color sea turtle and pelican are at the forefront of the pin design calling attention to BP’s wildlife rescue and rehabilitation mission.

  • Its ocean blue background serves as reminder of BP’s dedication and concentrated effort to cleaning and restoring the shores

  • The lapel pin was fashioned in the same shape as the state of Louisiana displaying the area in which they are diligently working.

  • The incident and unit name is boldly printed just above the image of an offshore oil rig. This communicates to the public that BP is doing everything necessary to prevent an incident like this from occurring again.

All About Pins genuinely cares for our environment and all inhabitants of it.  We are more than willing to do our part to not only protect and preserve our fragile eco-system but also to encourage awareness of ecological issues.  If there is any way that we can help you with your own environmental or wildlife program just send us an email at info@allaboutpins.com or call us toll free at 1-866-604-9462.
